Kids' Land

This summer I volunteered at Tutor Time in DeWitt. I helped out in the Pre-K room where we had anywhere from 5-22 kids. During the school year I did my internship for my RESA class there . Since they only hire graduates I couldn't work there, but I loved going there so much and seeing the kids I decide to ask if I could come back in the summer and volunteer. All the kids call me Miss Megan or Teacher. I would get there at 8 in the morning and leave most the time before nap because I would start to fall asleep sitting there for 2 hours during nap. Every other Wednesday they would bring their bikes and we have bike day with the kids. With the number of kids you could expect to have at least one accident, but most the time they would get back on their bike soon after. One time I did decide to stay after nap and some of the boys asked me to draw them a picture of a fish tank. I told them up front I couldn’t draw, but they didn’t care. So when I drew Patrick’s rock from SpongeBob they asked me to also draw Patrick, SpongeBob, and Gary. We had so much fun and they didn't care I didn't draw them the fish tank. I always have fun when I go there and to watch when the kids learn something new just lights up my whole face.
