I have learned allot about the topic that I just research. One of the biggest things that I found about was how they use to treat their inmates. For example they used the whirling chair which would spin and make patients nauseous and sometimes lose consciousness. Another treatment that they used on patents was lobotomy which is where they cut certain parts of the brain. Another thing that I learned was about how badly the living conditions were in the insane asylum.for example they were strap to bed and walls with very little air and light. Also were given very little food. The last thing that I learned about my projects was how evil the doctors were toward their inmates. Like the doctors would saw off limbs, remove teeth, put them in straight jackets, put them In cold water,and almost drowned them.
After I finished researching this topic I was disgusted on how people treated others this badly. I know that they are mentally retarded but they still are humans and they shouldn't be treated with disrespect. I totally disagree on experimenting on these people because they need some help but Instead they are being chop up and experimented on. So I think that they should regulated what goes on in the insane asylums better so that they treat everyone equal.
