Chrisp week 7
The novel I choose to read is called Lord of the flies. This book was written by William Golding. I choose to read this book because it was recommend by the local librarian to be a good book. This book is about some young british school boy how get shot down over a tropical island. Then the two main characters how names are Ralph and Piggy. Once on the beach Ralph and Piggy find a conch shell witch they use as a trumpet to find the other boys. Once they find everyone they choose a leader. This book relates to are other book because they all talk about how people live their own societies. For example George and Lennie are out cast because they are migrant workers. Charlie is a out cast because he is mentally retarded.Holden is a out cast because he doesn't know how to act in a regular society. Lord of the flies is relates to this because these boys have to set up their own society in order to survive on the island. I like this book because it show how these boy figure how to live on the island. This book represents are society problem and how we work throw them. So far I like this book and I would recommend it to others.

Your book sounds very interesting Chris. When you say it is about how a young school boy gets shot down over a tropical island do you mean he was shot down in a plane? I like books like yours because you get to read and experience something that you would never do in a life time. It is always fascinating to read about a unique situation like this and see how people react with each other in harsh conditions.
ReplyDeleteThe book I’m reading is also a very unique story. It is about Jersey Hatch, a teenager who attempted to commit suicide but survived. He sustained brain injuries after the experience from the gun he used. As a result, he is mentally challenged and the left side of his body is more incapable than his right side. I look forward to reading my book as Jersey slowly remembers who he was before the incident and why he did it.
