Katniss Everdeen is a 17 year old girl, she lives with her mom and younger sister Prim. She is the main provider for her family and has to make it so they survive. But every year in May I think there is this thing called reaping, and one boy and one girl from each district has to go to the Hunger Games and fight the other districts and the last one standing is the winner. Sp Prim gets caleld as the girl from District 12, and Katniss would not let her go so Katniss volunteers in her place to save her and promise that she will come back alive. The boy is Peeta, and Katniss and Peeta soon develop a fake relationship. Their strategy is to play starcrossed lovers. Which they do. The crowd eats it up and during the actual games they fight to keep each other alive, and in the end the rules where changed so that two from the same district can win, so they reunite after being split and work to survive.
It was a really good book and I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone:p
I read that book and I thought it was amazing. It's a really easy book to get into. It's so suspense full and every moment makes you more excited to read it! I think I read it in like 2 days and I normally hate reading books. Even book number two is really good. If you liked this one, you should read number two. There is a book number three, but I personally didn't think it was as good as the first two. When Prim got called up and you never thought there was chance because her name was only in there once. Then when Peeta confesses his love for Katniss just adds another twist. I just found out that there is a movie coming out in March too, and I can't wait to go see it because the actors are almost what I pictured them like. But I hope that they don't ruin it because it was just too good of a book!!! :) I hope you liked it as much as I did.
ReplyDeleteFrom what you have said so fair this book seems very cool. There is a potential for a little chick flick, but not much of a huge part of the book. I think this could be a good book but I would of liked you to go into more depth about the people in the book and maybe the setting of the book. Like some back story or may be why you picked this book to read. Just wondering, is the name of the book hunger Games? Is so why do you think that the writer picked the name? it does not really seem to fit in the way you explained in the summery. I do like that you did not spoil the ending of the book. I just do not see how if they are fighting to see who gets control of their districts yet they decide to settle?
