the perks of being a wallflower.
I chose the perks of being a wallflower because it was recommended to me by a friend and is also a very popular book. Its a book I've heard about before but never took the time to look it up and read about it, so I figured why not read it now. It's about a boy named Charlie and his point of view of growing up in high school. He writes letters to an anonymous person to whom he doesn't tell his identity because he doesn't want them to know who he is, he just wants someone to confine in. It talks about how he's more of a people watcher than interacting with them hence the wallflower. He's kind of like Holden but Holden didn't really watch, he is more of a loner than anything else. He just doesn't care about anything. But the novel explains Charlie's point of view on many different situations including dating, drugs, making friends, and family drama. The perks of being a wallflower can relate to The Catcher in the Rye because Holden was an outcast and you read the story from his point of view and how he sees things. Charlie has a more positive outlook on life though, he just doens't speek his mind. He likes to think things through rather than verbally express them. I am very interested to read this book and see where it goes. Hopefully its as good as I've been hearing it is!

This book seems like it would be really interesting to pick up and read just for the fact that it’s about a kid that puts his spin on high school life. I wonder who told you about this book because I’ve never heard of it. I’m glade he has more of a positive outlook on life because I’m tired of reading depressing books. The way u describe this other character seems nothing like Holden. Holden is a self-centered person. That only cares about himself or people younger than him. He is an impulsive lire. The person you describe just seems like a person with low self-esteem. He just wants someone to notice him. But holden just wants to go through life under the radar
