Week 8

Since, the last blog our group has pretty much finished the book. In the last blog I'd said that Chris, the main character, was trying to solve the mystery of who killed his neighbor’s dog. Well, he'd figured out that his dad had done it because, of a recent affair between his wife and neighbor. While growing up Chris had thought his mom had died of a heart attack but, really she'd left with their neighbor. His dad kept this secret from him the whole time and not once did he seem guilty for lying to his son. Since, his dad had been keeping this secret from him he’d failed to learn that his mother had been trying to contact him this whole time. She'd been writing him; she had written him forty-two letters since her disappearance. Chris then decides to leave and go find her; he ends up traveling to London. While, on his way to London he overcomes his social problems, tries avoiding the police, and almost gets hit by a train. We have yet to find out if he finds his mom yet but, I hope he does find her and ends up living with her instead.
