My Novel "Trigger"

My novel of choice is Trigger by Susan Vaught. It's a story of a seventeen year old teenager, named Jersey Hatch, who is a varsity football player, varsity golf player, straight A student, and going into ROTC. He had everything going for him when one day he decided to shoot himself in the head with his father's handgun. Now after recovering in the hospital and having physical therapy for seven months, he is going back to high school as a mentally handicapped teenager and must pick up from where he left off in life. It's different though, his best friend hates him, his mom seems severly shaken and depressed by Jersey, and his left side of his body has become harder to control. He has to try to operate as a normal teenager in a world where he has the odds against him and only a few people believe in him. He wants to find out why his best friend hates him so much and why he shot himself in the first place. He went from one of the best, to a five year old genius in the matter of a day. Now he just has to focus and go for his goals with everything he's got.
