I am reading The Hunger Games for my novel of choice. It is about a girl named Katniss, and she lives in the post apocalyptic times of the United States, and it is now called Panem. Panem is controlled by a central government called "Capitol", and every year the "Capitol"chooses one boy and one girl ages twelve to eighteen to fight in the Hunger Games. It is a televised even that only one person ends up surviving. Katniss volunteers to take her sister Primeroses' place in the television show.
This books relates to the other books because it is about personal independence. In all of our other books we have read the characters had to either be independent, or accept that they are independent. For example Charlie had to learn to be independent because no one else was quite on his level, and in Catcher in the Rye, Holden had to be independent cause his parents kept sending him away to other schools, and in Mice of Men, George and Lennie where independent together. Moving from town to town and all.
I am really excited to start to read The Hunger Games. It seems like a really interesting kind of story with a unique plot that has never been tried before. I think this novel will truly be one of a kind and when the movie comes out I will be super excited too:p haha.
Ok byeee.
okay whats up katy
ReplyDeleteSounds like you got a really good book on your hands. It sounds very interesting and it sounds like something I would like to read at least once in my life. It kinda of sounds like the book I am reading call I am Legend. You probably already know what it is about so I won't go into detail about it. The connections you made are very good and they sound perfect. I never realized that in all the books we read, the characters were all independent. You made a new connection that I had not noticed so I am really happy I decided to read your post. It helps me understand the books a lot better. I can also connect my book with yours because mine is kinda post apocalyptic too. I am sure both of our books will be awesome to read.
Ok byeee.
