Jake Whitney Week 7

My book is called Loneliness: Human Nature and the Need for Social Connection. It is by John T. Cacioppo and William Patrick with some random illustrations. It is approximately 200 pages long. I was drawn to this book because I though it looked interesting and offered insight in to why people need connections. I hope it will answer questions about why Holden did what he did. This book is not similar to any of the other books we have read because this is basicly a psychology textbook about society and loneliness although you do not need a psychology background to understand the authors . Being as this book is non fiction, it has no characters, plot or themes. I was attracted to this book because I am interested in psycology and this book is not about the boring books we read in class. From the limited pages I have read, I would recomend this book to anyone interested in science and psycology or those who just really hate fiction like me. I do not see how this book will relate to Of Mice and Men but I think it will relate to Catcher in the Rye and Flowers for Algernon.
