Our society put laws, regulations, and standards for which we must abide by. Some of these we may agree with or most individuals may agree with, but not everyone agrees with them all. Holden is a prime example of someone who does not agree with all the rules, practices, and laws set out by society. He chooses not to fit in or blend in, or conform. Holden also see's the people that do follow by what society has set as it's standards as phoney. Personally, I believe Holden is what most people want to be, he's someone who stands out and gets noticed for it. I however would not do it in the manor in which he chooses. As of today I do what I think is right with little regard to what society may think. Things that everyone does, because of society however, are manors, care, and unity. I feel if society didn't focus on either of those 3 things then the world would be totally different place.
