Alright dudes, so the book I have is called Hole In My Life. It's about this kid named jack who likes writing, but has a troubled life and tells about it in his writing. As youth he moves constantly and is never able to keep friends. The constant moving is, because his father is never happy with a job for long and wants a new one. His father however is a smart man who can read people easily and tell if they're headed up or down the path of life. Jack begins to get a drinking problem and not fully understand who he is or what his purpose in life is, kind of like Charlie. His parents then send him to a school miles from home where he must live with someone else, like Holden.
I find that this book so far relates more to Catcher In The Rye, because he is so different from most people his age and doesnt have many friends like Holden. Also the fact that he got sent to a different school. Yet Jack wants to go to school, which is like Charlie in Flowers For Algernon
This book sounds rather interesting Patty O' Latty! It is interesting in the fact that his father is so smart yet so dumb! Haha. But I find that I relate to that father because I can't settle with one thing either, I get bored! But Jacks problems remind me of Holden too because Holden did some of that stuff just to the lesser extreme.
