My choice novel is Kiss and Blog it reminds me a lot of Catcher in the Rye. The main character Winter is very critical of others and finds a lot of things phony just like Holden. Winter also runs away to New York after her best friend becomes popular. Holden ran away when he flunked out of school and did not tell anyone where he was going, like Winter did not tell anyone where she was going either. Winter than hooks up with some guy she has only known for like 2 seconds and she also gets drunk and smokes pot like Holden. For part of the book Winter has no friends and when someone tried to get close to her, she was trying to get him to leave her alone. There are other characters in the book that remind me of Holden. Most of them do not care about what others think of them or they go against what society says is right. Other characters even tell someone they can date someone else even when they do not want them too. One character reminds me of Phoebe and it is Winter’s sister, Autumn because she is young and I feel is very innocent. I like my book so far and I hope to like it in the end as well.

Your book sounds like an interesting read. I agree with what you are saying about it being relatable to “Catcher in the Rye”. I do not understand why a lot of books talk about teenagers doing drugs and getting drunk. It seems to me the authors of these books are labeling us as bad people. Though they do even the books out with good people like Phoebe, as you said, and Autumn in the book you are reading now. I just realized that the names of the sisters in the book you are reading have names of seasons which is kind of cool to me. Other than that, hope the book turns out to be a good ending and an ending you were hoping for throughout the reading. I hate it when books do not have a good ending; it ruins the whole book for me and it makes me feel like I wasted my time; kind of like the ending in “Catcher in the Rye”.
