Dont seclude yourselve: Courtney Hanneman
In the novel the catcher in the rye, Holden complains about how he has no friends and how his family doesn't talk/communicate with him very much; but Holden has a ton of opportunities to bond with other people and have friends, but he chooses to go in his dorm and read! Holden needs to learn that there are many ways of society but even though he may disagree with it he can't seclude himself from it.Holden never wants to try to do anything whether it be making friends, doing good in school etc. I think that's one thing that bugs me about him even though he may not be the brightest kid he never tries and maybe if he tired he could find out that he could do a little better than he is now. that way he isn't having to leave all these schools and move around because the school cant take him anymore cause he isn't trying hard enough. I believe he brought the loneliness on himself because of how he secludes himself from every opportunity that comes knocking his way. Like how he could have gone to the football game and communicated with other people so he could possibly have friends but he didn't, he went to his dorm and read a book. Why does he do that? Why does he decide to seclude himself from others when all he does is complain bout not having any friends and not a lot of people to call up and talk to?
