Innocence
Holden has had a loss of innocence throughout the novel meaning that he was a person that was really scared to do things and now that he went out and did all that he did without people around him it made him a better person but not in the sense that he will do better in school or treat his family in a better way but the way that he will be able to learn a little better about all the stuff that he did. Holden thinks that he need to start doing better at not being so alone and afraid to do somethings but when he was at the bar and started talking to the three girls I think that he was not nervous or innocent at all. He seemed like he was an innocent person at the start of the book when he said he was always at the top of the hill at the football games or when he stayed home because he didn't want to see anyone there because he didn't like anyone at his school. Holden should try and be better about when he uses his non innocence because he does things that some people should not do, such as go to a bar when he is only 16 years old or lie all the time and really have no regret when he says anything about it.
