Holden rebels against almost every thing. He rebels against conformity, society, and even his own “friends”. He never wants to be the person that is the same as everybody eals at his school, like trying hard in school and even succeeding in school. Society has honesty turned its back on Holden there for he turns his back on society too. And finally with Stradlater, Aslee, and every body eals he knows as “friends” as soon as he gets kicked out he decides to just leave. Not even saying good bye he just gets all of his stuff and leaves in the middle of the night. All the effects have a very big effect on him. These effects are that he never tries to make any friends; he doesn’t make any effort to make his life better by working hard in school, and a very big effect on his family and how he interacts with them. Alto the effects on society is not that great. Society does not care about Holden because he does not care bout it. The reason why society does not care about him is he never lets society have a chance to get to know him personaly.
Holden is a very rebelious charactor. I really dont like him. He doesnt care about anyone not even himself. he loves to critisize other people and think they are all phoney. Its annoying to hear him say it over and over again about all these people. He doesnt connect with very many people and i feel like its his falt. Hes always staying away fro the group activitys and trying to talk but then backs away. like the girls that he trys to be with. Its crazy how someone can say that they feel so lonely and dont do anything about it. i feel like he just is very rebelious. And i dont like the book.
