Dylan Coffman Week 6 Postq
In the book Catcher In The Rye, the theme is very clear now in the later chapters, Everyone NEEDS to grow up. Holden is the kid who does nothing in school and thinks it is all a blow off, he goes into bars to try to feel cooler. This makes him feel good about himself picking up girls and talking trash to people who he will never see again. This all starts with the bad parenting from his parents when he was younger but the only real way to have holden actually start to grow up is by his own actions, start trying in school and then go on after school and get a good job and start with a real good life that everyone would rather have. He has the ability to do this because he is getting the oppritunity, his eduacation is 100 times better because of boarding school if he would put forth some effort.
