Holden the Non-conformist (Week 5)

Holden seems to have a bit of a problem with society in his day. He constantly feels the need or urge to stick out from everyone else in some sort of an attempt to stick out from society in order to gain attention. This may prove that he is a bit insecure in the fact that he needs to feel like people are paying attention to him. Once he get this attention though, he doesn't quite know what to do with it. He fails out of most of his classes at three schools now, and just figures he'll go back home and he will continue on to a different school that his parents send him to. He gets attention from his parents that he doesn't spend much time with by flunking out of the schools. The red hunting hat he wears and thinks is "cool", it really is just something he wears to not conform to society and to stand out from the rest of everyone. It just throws everyone off a bit when Holden acts out, only for a short time though. Then people start to catch on that he isn't exactly "right" and is just looking to gather attention.
