In the catcher in the rye holden is obviously trying to not fit in. He doesnt want to be apart of the group. He somewhat does this by lying. By lying holden is able to become whoever he wants, may that be because he is not happy with himself or not. Holden is against society and any chance he gets he will try to rebel and be different. Holden trys to be different and he succeeds, or is that what he thinks? or is he just the same as everyone else? does everyone lie? does everyone feel the same way in which holden does? you gotta think about that sometimes. Like at school, everyone tries to fit in but deep down does everyone want to be different just like holden does? is holden an outcast like he thinks he is or is he just like everyone else? is he yellow? do you think the color yellow and the colors on the front of the novel are symbolic of something? I do not know. but i would like to know. What movie should we watch for this book? i still think we should watch lion king 3D. we can go to ncg and everything.
