Everyone Has to Grow Up by Tori DeSira

In the novel "Catcher in the Rye" Holden has some growing up too do. He doesn't act maturely when it comes to his education because he has failed out of four different schools due to lack of effort. Holden doesn't take a lot of things seriously and that's why he seems too fail at a lot of things he does. Also Holden seems to try and run away from his problems thinking that it will solve it instead of fixing them himself. In life nothing will happen on its own, but he didn't realize it, that you have to work for what you need done in life. I can relate too his life a little bit because my freshman year of school I didn't I didn't take my education very serious like I should have. The difference between Holden and I is I made a difference in my actions I changed my studying habits to improve myself. I new if I wanted a better future I would need too crack down on myself so I can go to college and create a better lifestyle for myself. Another difference between Holden and I is I know when I make a mistake, but I fix them myself and learn from what I do wrong.
